“Rick, Colleen, Mackenzie, and Erica started in 2001 with Rick selling pumpkins and vegetables on State Road 28 in Tipton County. The money went into a college fund for Mackenzie. In 2004, Erica came along. In 2005, we moved back to Clinton County. We joined the Farmers Market at the end of the first season in 2007 selling gourds. The next year, we sold our vegetables. Each year since, we have brought new items to the market. This year is no exception, and we are trying new products. In 2009, we had gourds that weighed over 50 lbs. We bring to the market a wide variety of products (listed above). We planted rhubarb and new asparagus two years ago, with the hope that it will be ready this year. We also bring noodles and some canned goods, along with free roaming, cage-free eggs. We have four goats and a pony. They graze over the garden in the winter, which is our fertilizer. Our garden are is just under one acre.”
